This happened a while ago...but I have to brag a little about my sister. She is awesome on the piano! If you haven't heard her play or seen how fast her fingers move, you would be so amazed! This summer she memorized 15 Bach pieces and then was judged on the pieces in a competition. She received way above superior ratings! The BSU professor that judged her was so impressed and said that she was by far the best Bach medalist that he had judged. She was one out of only about 30 people in the whole U.S. to receive the top award. WOW!
Here's what they had in the paper about her.
(she is going to hate me for using this picture)

"Erinn Tolman has received the Advanced Bach Medal from the American College of Musicians. To receive the award, Tolman, who will be a senior at Weiser High School this year, worked closely with her piano teacher, Mary Lou Koto, to learn and memorize 15 compositions by J.S. Bach. The pieces had to be pre-approved by the ACM from a prescribed list, and Tolman performed all of the works for judging. The judge, Dr. Del Parkinson, piano professor from Boise State University, gave her a rating of superior plus in the group’s top talent circle. This rating was higher than necessary to meet the performance standards to receive the medal." (Argus Observer)
I'm so lucky to have such a talented sister and best friend!!
I LOVE YOU ERINN!
